After being nominated as one of Indiana Business Journal’s Fast 25 Companies in 2018, Probo Medical placed fourth with a growth rate of 254% from 2015-2017. Probo Medical started conducting business from President & CEO David Trogden’s garage in 2014 with 200 ultrasound probes. The company has now acquired two other used and refurbished ultrasound focused businesses to grow to 7,000+ ultrasound probes, 300+ systems, and nearly 80 employees. “We now have the largest inventory of a used and refurbished ultrasound equipment company in the nation, if not world,” Trogden commented in his interview with the IBJ.

Probo is Fastest Growing Company

In addition to selling equipment, Trogden’s wife, Casey, manages Probo Medical’s donation program to clinics and doctors in many countries, including the US. To date, the company has donated 52 systems and 120 probes.

Trogden believes that Probo Medical’s success while growing at an uncommon pace is rooted in its solid business model, great management team, and infrastructure. “We act urgently in everything that we do, and the one thing I guarantee anybody coming on board for the first time is: It’s going to be a wild ride. We’ve definitely been on a while ride and we want that to continue in the future.”
